The WYSS Institue is for Biologically Inspired Enginerring, and is a cross-diciplinary research institute at Harvard University. It focuses on developing new bioinspired materials and devices. They try and develop close alliances with industries that may define new research direction and drive technology innovation.

This Institue is for a non-profit organization that encourages the study of biomimicry. Short-term workshop and two-year certificate courses in biomimicry are offered.
